Marcfields-Capital Management supports the financing of mid-market projects that have a positive social and/or environmental impact in the US and Canada, and other locations such as in South America, Central America, Caribbean, Western Europe and the Commonwealth.
STRUCTURE OF A TYPICAL PROJECT FINANCING
The sponsor establishes and invests capital in the project company, which will serve as the borrower. The project company signs contracts with various parties involved in the project. The project company signs a non-recourse loan agreement with the financial institutions and borrows funds for the completion and operation of the project. The project company uses cash flows that are generated from the project to repay the loan.
QUALIFIED INDUSTRIES
Renewable Energy (solar, wind, water), Cleantech (energy efficiency, hydrogen), Infrastructure (mass-production facilities), Commercial Real Estate (master-planned, mixed-use, green housing)
TRANSACTION
Transaction Value: 25 million (minimum).
Debt-to-equity ratio: 100% of the project budget.
Stage of project: Pre-development.
Financial Guarantee: Bank Guarantee, Standby Letter of Credit (100% coverage).
Loan type: debt-mezzanine.
APR: Fixed.
Loan range: 4 to 20 years.
Equity interest: The equity will be determined by the coverage of the financial guarantee.
Draw schedule: Funding is provided in stages.
QUALIFICATIONS
-Infrastructure Project Finance (non-recourse financing with stand by letter of credit).
-Mergers and Acquisitions.
-Project Management.
-Financial Analysis.
-Business and Financial Due Diligence.
-A minimum of 5 years' experience in investment banking
-Ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders
-Ability to manage independently from start to finish a transaction

-Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, or a related discipline
